IIT-Guwahati to Launch Postgraduate Programs in Cybersecurity, AI, and Deep Learning

India, New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati will establish Post Graduate (PG) certificate programmes in Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and Deep Learning in collaboration with Times Professional Learning (TPL). The programmes are aligned with the National Education Policy 2020 directions to Higher Education Institutes and are meant to provide career advancement and skill upgradation for working professionals in accordance with industry and corporate world requirements.

The Post Graduate Certificate Program in Cybersecurity is an eight-month programme designed to help professionals advance their careers and improve their skills in fast-paced jobs like network security specialist, cyber security analyst, cybersecurity architects, cyber security manager, and C-suite positions like Chief Information Security Officer. “Demand for cybersecurity domain specialists has surged in the recent year,” according to the statement, “with rising worldwide concerns about security breaches and rapid digitalisation across organisations and institutions during the epidemic.”
The nine-month Post Graduate Certificate Program in Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning covers topics such as Python programming, data analytics, neural networks, computer vision, and image recognition, among others. “It will assist applicants prepare for competitive and cutting-edge career roles such as AI and ML Engineer, Computer Vision Expert, Software R&D Engineer, Cloud Support Engineer, and others,” according to the press release, which need a high level of technical competence and training.
