NEW DELHI : In the last 24 hours, India has registered 6,358 new Covid-19 cases and 293 deaths, according to the Union health ministry. India has reported 653 Omicron cases, according to the authorities.
The number of cases in India’s Covid-19 epidemic has risen to 3,47,99,691 with a death toll of 4,80,290, according to the ministry.

According to the ministry bulletin, which was published on Tuesday morning, 186 people have recovered from the new Covid variety thus far.

India’s active caseload is presently at 75,456, down 385 cases, according to the health ministry. Active cases are for fewer than 1% of total cases in India, with 0.22 percent being the lowest number since March 2020.


The recovery rate in the country is now at 98.41%, the highest level since March 2020.

In the previous 24 hours, the government has recovered 6,450 Covid-19 patients, increasing the total number of recoveries to 3,42,43,945 people.

The daily positivity rate has remained below 2% for the last 85 days, at 0.61 percent. According to ministry data, India’s weekly optimism rate has been below 1% for 44 days, at 0.64 percent.

So far, Covid detection tests have been performed on 67.41 crore people.

According to the bulletin, the statewide immunisation campaign has so far resulted in the administration of 142.47 crore vaccine doses throughout India.
