Patna Schools Closed Till 8 January Due To Cold

According to an official release, due to the current cold weather and low temperatures, the Patna District Magistrate has ordered that all government and private institutions in Patna remain closed till January 8.

India, New Delhi: The Patna district government declared on Sunday, January 2 that all schools in the city up to Class 8 will remain closed until January 8 due to the prevailing weather conditions. According to an official release, due to the current cold weather and low temperatures, the Patna District Magistrate has ordered that all government and private institutions in Patna remain closed till January 8.

“It appears to me that the health and lives of youngsters are being jeopardised as a result of the widespread cold weather and low temperatures prevailing in the region, particularly in the morning,” the District Magistrate said in a statement.

The District Magistrate ruled, “Prohibit academic activities of all private and government institutions in the Patna district up to Class 8 until January 8, 2022.”

Patna has been suffering from a cold wave for the past few days.

According to an ANI social media post, “Patna District Magistrate announced that all government and private schools up to class 8 will be closed until January 8 due to the intense cold wave in the state.”
