Punjab’s Chief Minister has Announced the Hiring of 10,800 People in the Education Department

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi approved the appointment of 10,880 personnel in the education department ahead of the Assembly elections.

Punjab Recruitment 2021: According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi approved the filling of a total of 10,880 vacant vacancies in various cadres in the Education Department ahead of the Assembly elections.

Punjab’s chief minister has ordered his administration to appoint up to 2000 physical education teachers across the province’s public schools in light of the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak and pupils’ health. Every village with a primary, middle, or high school will receive the services of a single physical education trainer, according to the Punjab Chief Minister’s decision.
According to a press release, CM Channi met with officials and representatives from numerous unions to discuss a variety of issues and requested that the department convene a meeting after considering their demands, which may be taken up by the Finance Department. By instructing the state finance department to disburse the state share of salaries that had been lowered due to the central government’s 2016 salary cap, the Chief Minister granted a long-pending demand of roughly 1000 headmasters and teachers recruited under the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan. The state budget will be hit with a bill of around Rs 3.20 crore.

In order to develop and strengthen Punjab’s healthcare system, Channi also approved the hiring of 3,400 health department staff across the province. According to the Punjab Chief Minister, he will shortly lay the foundation stones for medical institutes in Kapurthala and Hoshiarpur to boost medical education and research in the state. He also announced the establishment of a new medical college in Sangrur, which will get full government funding. The meeting was also attended by Punjab Deputy Chief Minister O P Soni, Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal, Medical Education Minister Raj Kumar Verka, and Education Minister Pargat Singh.
