Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices LIVE: On Friday morning, the Bears tightened their grip on Dalal Street. On the opening bell, the S&P BSE Sensex dropped about 800 points to 58000, while the Nifty 50 was down more than 200 points, hovering at 17300. The Bank Nifty was down 1.7 percent, and broader markets followed suit. The VIX in India was up 8%. Only Dr Reddy’s was up among Sensex components, with gains, while the other 29 companies were down. Maruti Suzuki India, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and HDFC were all down 2.3 percent.
