Trim levels for the Kia Carens MPV have been revealed

Kia India released the trim details and technical specs for its fourth car in India, the Kia Carens MPV, on Tuesday. On January 14, 2022, reservations for the Kia Carens MPV will open. According to the manufacturer, this MPV will be available in five trim levels: Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, and Luxury Plus.

Before it goes on sale, here are the key characteristics of the new Kia Carens MPV.

Among the Kia Carens’ competitors are the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Mahindra XUV700. It will also compete against the Mahindra Marazzo, Toyota Innova Crysta, and Maruti Suzuki XL6.

The three-row Kia Carens MPV will be offered in five model levels. The possibilities are Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, and Luxury Plus. The Kia Carens will be offered in seven-seater combinations in Premium to Luxury trims, and in both six and seven-seater configurations in Luxury Plus trim.

The Kia Carens MPV will be available in eight distinct colour combinations. Three of these cars will be debuting for the first time in the Kia portfolio. The new colour options are Imperial Blue, Moss Brown, and Sparkling Silver. Intense Red, Aurora Black Pearl, Gravity Grey, Glacier White Pearl, and Clear White will be offered in addition to these.

The Kia Carens MPV’s interior is elegant and luxurious, with lots of space and comfort for its occupants. It has a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen navigation system with next-generation Kia Connect, an eight-speaker Bose premium sound system, a smart pure air purifier with virus and bacteria protection, ventilated front seats, one-touch easy electric tumble in the second row, and a SkyLight sunroof, among other things.

The cabin’s appeal is enhanced by the luxurious leather seats and upholstery, as well as the dual-tone colour scheme. The Kia Carens MPV comes with three different powertrain options. Among them are the 1.5-litre Smartstream petrol engine, the 1.4-litre TGDi Smartstream petrol engine, and the 1.5-litre CRDi VGT diesel engine. A six-speed manual transmission, a seven-speed DCT automatic transmission, and a six-speed automatic transmission will be available for this Kia MPV.

The 1.5-litre petrol engine, which produces 115 PS at 6,300 rpm and 144 Nm at 4,500 rpm and is coupled to a six-speed manual transmission, produces 115 PS at 6,300 rpm and 144 Nm at 4,500 rpm. The 1.4-liter petrol engine will be available with both a six-speed manual and a seven-speed DCT transmission. It has a power output of 140 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and a torque output of 242 Nm between 1,500 and 3,200 rpm.

The 1.5-litre CRDi VGT diesel engine will be available with a six-speed manual transmission and a six-speed automatic transmission. At 4,000 rpm, this engine produces 115 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque between 1,500 and 2,750 rpm.

Safety is a priority for Kia Carens

According to Kia, the Carens MPV will include a safety package that includes ten high-safety features that will be standard on all trim levels. Electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, and vehicle stability control are all standard features.
