NETWORK EXCHANGE

The National Eligibility Test (NET) is a test administered by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to determine whether Indian nationals are eligible for Assistant Professorships, Junior Research Fellowships, or both in Indian universities and colleges. CBSE administered the NET in 84 topics in 91 cities across the country until June 2018. Following that, the National Testing Agency will conduct the UGC-NET from December 2018 forward (NTA).

Every year, the UGC-NET is held twice. The June 2021 UGC-NET has been postponed due to the postponement of the December 2020 UGC-NET due to COVID-19. To make the UGC-NET examination cycles more consistent, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has integrated the December 2020 and June 2021 cycles, with UGC approval, so that they can be administered in CBT style concurrently. As a result, the application procedure has been reopened for new applicants to fill out and submit their applications.
